Dr. sc. Casey Taft is a psychologist in the National Center for PTSD in the Boston healthcare hospital system of the Ministry of War Veterans in The USA, and he is a psychiatry associate professor at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Taft has published more than one hundred research papers in magazines and books, as well as in scientific reports, with emphasis on family themes specifically focused on interventions in development and evaluation, whose aim is to improve both family functioning and conflict prevention. For this work he received the funds from the National Institute of Mental Health, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of War Veterans and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of The USA.

Dr. Taft has won prestigious awards by International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He was a sub-editor of the magazine Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy magazine, and he is also a member of the non-profit publishing house War Writers'Campaign, which promotes a social change, regarding problems of war veterans, by means of a literary creation.

Dr. Taft has led one working group of American Psychological Association, which dealt with military traumas, and he participated in counseling with UN, regarding violence and abuse prevention. Personally, as a vegan, he saw animal abuse prevention as a natural sequel to this work.
